A pregnant woman dining with her family was pleasantly surprised at a Red Robin restaurant in Apex, N.C. after the manager of the restaurant waived the cost of her dinner. According to ABC News, the Colorado based burger chain operates over 400 restaurants is now in the news for a good reason. This is an act of good will that we normally don’t see everyday.
The manager had joked with Amie Sivon, a local attorney, that it might be her last meal before her child was born, reports the Consumerist. After the meal was over, Sivon and her husband and their 2 year old received their bill and Sivon’s meal was deducted from the total. The only description of the item for her meal was “MOM 2 BEE GOOD LUC”.
Jason Sivon, her husband told ABCNews.com that the manager had not told them anything and that they were already happy with the service, the action was a complete surprise for them.
“These kinds of random acts of kindness in our restaurants are part of our culture,” said Kevin Caulfield, a Red Robin spokesperson.
“We did go back to that Red Robin about a week ago and took our new daughter there,” Jason Sivon said. “The same manager was on duty, and we made it a point to say thank you to him and introduce him to our new daughter.”
